Library in Transition:
Library and Community Center
In this project we were challenged to define the role of the modern library.  The program included a public library, multipurpose rooms, a cafe, and auditorium.  The site, located in Champaign, Illinois was at the center of a small business and entertainment district.

My concept for this project was centered on the idea that today's libraries are in a state of transition between the present and future.  In order to prepare for this transition, I designed open, adjustable floor plans.  I also exposed the inner workings of the building to emphasize a constant state of change.
